 iTunes Store and Photozig Albums
Solution Photozig Albums supports music in MP3 and WAV (Wave), AU, and WMA (Windows Media) formats. Unfortunately, music purchased from Apple’s iTunes store is stored in AAC and copy protected – Apple also prohibits the conversion of protected AAC music to other formats (as per their license agreement that is displayed when you install iTunes).

There are ways around this – the simplest is to burn the iTunes songs to a CD, then use Windows Media Player to “rip” the CD (copy the CD to your hard drive).

Step 1
>>>In iTunes – Burn AAC files to a CD
(Information from Apple’s Support site)
http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/tutorial/segment102093.html

• With iTunes open, insert a blank CD into your computer.
• Select the playlist you want to copy to CD. Before burning your CD, you can rearrange the songs by dragging them to different positions.
• At the bottom of the iTunes window, check the size of your playlist to make sure it doesn’t exceed the amount of space on a CD.
• Click the Burn button to begin copying the songs from your computer to the CD. You can watch the progress in the iTunes window.
• When the files are copied, a CD icon will appear in the iTunes Source list.
• Click the Eject button to eject your CD.

Step 2
>>>In Windows Media Player – Rip CD to WMA files
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/knowledgecenter/howto/rip_how_to.aspx

Select File: CDs and Devices: Rip Audio CD
Click on “Rip Music” to start copying.

By default the music files are stored in your “My Documents\My Music\” folder using the Windows Media Player format (WMA).
If you need to make changes to the audio quality of the WMA file, select Tools: Options: Rip Music (tab).

Step 3
>>>Import Music into Photozig Albums
Load Music into Photozig Albums using our Music Manager.

On the main Photozig Albums screen, under the “Extras” section, Click on “Music” (bottom left side of screen)
Select a category for the new songs (Classical, Country, Orchestral, …)
Click “Add Songs”
Navigate to your “My Documents\My Music\” folder and open select the folder containing the music your just ripped in Windows Media Player
Hold down the [Control] key and click on each song you would like to import
Click on Open

Your iTunes songs are now imported into Photozig Albums and you can use them to make slideshows that play on your computer or share on CD with other computer users.
